Can better UX improve the NHS?

The NHS is something the British public should be proud of. It employs 1.5million people and serves a total population of 65 million, all free at the point of care. Yet the NHS is grossly overspending and there are numerous inequalities. Chronic conditions that can be easily treated by changes to one’s lifestyle is costing the NHS billions. Diabetes alone costs £10 billion a year.

User Experience (UX) specialists and practitioners of designing thinking have the ability to fix all this. The how is not quite straight forward though.

In our upcoming event, a variety of experts from the NHS and UX community will discuss this very sensitive yet important topic; UX in healthcare.
